Who we are
ORHAN Sri Lanka (UK) was established on 15th November 2002 on an informal basis. It was then formalised under a structured constitution as an Association on 21st June 2003 and was subsequently registered as a charity in the United Kingdom under registration number 1129702 on 18th May 2009.
ORHAN Sri Lanka (UK) provides funds for the running cost of Training centre under the name of “Puthuvazhvu Poonga” which includes provisions for Books, Uniforms, Refreshments, Lunch, Staff Wages and Transport for children. In addition to receiving education and training on daily living skills, the visiting doctors and Qualified Medical Practitioners provides medical attention and appropriate treatment such as physiotherapy and psychiatric treatment More details here....School

Since the inauguration of ORHAN Sri Lanka (UK) the sum of Sixty Thousand Pounds (£60,000.00) has been sent to ORHAN Vavuniya for the running cost of “Puthuvazhvu Poonga”
Funds were raised through our Annual Fund raising Christmas dinner. Also more than 180 individual donors, Tamil Schools, Fin-art academics and Businesses have provided valuable financial contributions to our success.
Within this period, we have increased our fundraising and become prominent Charitable Organisation amongst the Tamil Community in the United Kingdom.
